Our Story

Our story begins almost nine years ago, when we started after every trip to Greece, to bring different types of Greek wine back to Romania. These wines were our main motivation for great dinners and barbecues with our Romanian friends and an inspiration for relaxing and pleasant nights.

I often remember the surprise of my friends and the same question they asked us… “Does Greece also produce wine?”

After finishing the second bottle, their main concern was why no one had imported these great wines to Romania before.

After serious consideration, this was the trigger for the creation of our company GREKA TERRA and the online store “New Greek Wine” in Romania, so that everyone can find and taste excellent Greek wine.

Beyond our passion and love for Greek products and especially Greek wines, we strongly believe that they offer a differentiation in quality and taste that also provides a great experience for any wine lover.

Greek wines are terroir wines. And with a history of over 6,600 years.

The new generation of Greek wine has consistently won grants and awards at all International Wine Competitions and at the same time achieved excellent ratings of up to 100 points by international wine critics (eRobertparker.com, Jancis Robinson, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, Wine & Spirits).

Greek winemakers, after a change in the Greek coaxial variety, such as Assyrtiko, Moschofilero, Malagousia, Savatiano, Roditis, Vidiano, Agiorgitiko, Xinomavro, Mavrodaphne, Limnio, Limniona, Mavroudi, succeeded in creating beautiful white, red and rosé wines and unbeatable.

As a result, they have achieved a serious presence in the international wine market.

The Romanian market, although it is large and competitive, knows how to appreciate the “difference” especially when this differentiation offers the right quality and price.

We have carefully chosen products that embody much more purity, passion and love rather than marketing efforts. They represent everyday wines but also wines for special occasions. Moreover, these are wines that respect the consumer.
