General comments: | Alpha Estate is located in the northwestern part of Greece, Amyndeon region, Florina. Alpha Estate was founded in 1997, by experienced winegrower Makis Mavridis and oenologist Angelos Iatridis, who after many years of activity in different areas of Greece, chose the Amyndeon region to create his own wine. The vine is cultivated with respect for nature, combined with eco-friendly practices, at the highest level, based on the latest international standards. The professionalism, experience and effort of the team are necessary conditions for obtaining the desired result. |

Characteristics: | Light yellow color, bright, with greenish notes. Intense and rich nose, typical of the variety, with citrus, passion fruit, honey and hints of oak. Full, creamy mouthfeel with excellent balance, freshness and finesse. Persistent aromas, aftertaste with a long finish. Aging potential: 2-3 years. |
Vinification: | Skin contact for many hours, depending on the winemakers’ assessment, controlled alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with cooling jackets, maintenance of the wine sur lies” for four months with regular stirring. |
More information: | The vineyards are located on the Amyndeon plateau, Amyndeon wine area, NW Macedonia. 69 ha of linear, private vineyard, located at an altitude of 620-710m. The soil is sandy, clayey, with excellent drainage. Continental climate with heavy precipitation and snowy winters, dry summers with cool nights, absence of spring frost. |
